Tell us who you are and what work you do

I’m the founder and author of  The Monday Revolution, a book and movement I started last year. With decades of business experience, there isn’t much I haven’t seen. I’ve won and lost many battles, with the scars to prove it. I share these experiences with people who want to succeed, helping them tackle everyday problems. I provide real world, practical actions they can apply immediately.

Tell us what we can expect from the Monday Revolution Course and why people should join

The course is for ambitious people who want to be more effective, productive and successful. It focuses on The Monday Revolution manifesto – the six principles I believe you must apply in order to achieve your business goals. In each session, I cover one principle and share stories and lessons I’ve learned. I want people to reflect and then act by adapting and applying to their own unique circumstances. There’s no doubt that this course will enable every participant to grow their business faster.

What was it like going from a successful business man to a high-rated author?

While my days as an executive leader are behind me, I am still actively involved in helping businesses grow. I’m an investor, advisor and hold Chairman of the Board positions. For many years, I’ve been keeping a black book of stories and lessons I thought could really help business people at every stage of their journey. And so ‘The Monday Revolution’ was born…

The Monday Revolution is a ‘self-help book’ but as the author, what is one key part of the book you think every entrepreneur or start-up should know?

I meet many entrepreneurs who passionately believe in their product or service, but they have no idea how to sell it. Without a strong ‘go to market’ strategy, their business will not succeed. Understanding customers problems and needs is always a good starting point.

Who is your male/female role model, and why?

Without a doubt, Kate Collins CEO of the Teenage Cancer Trust. I’ve been working with Kate for a couple of years now. Kate has a huge passion for the charity and is fantastic at building relationships and partnerships to raise the charity’s profile and increase funding. Most importantly, she has built a great team, her leadership qualities are exceptional.

What is the most important lesson life has taught you?

Life is not linear. You’re conditioned to believe that you leave school, go to university, find a partner, settle down, have a career. It’s often not the case. Life is full of left field moments and unchartered territory. It’s not only what happens to you, it’s how you deal with it. You need to be resilient, take control where you can, and work out what’s next.

What do you do for self-care?

Sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll.

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent; it is the one most adaptable to change.”
